The Pomeranian goose is a very old livestock breed. Their wild form is the greylag goose. They are heavy, broad-chested birds that were bred primarily as fattening animals. The laying performance and breeding instinct of the calm animals are also well developed. Due to their weight, Pomeranian geese are practically unable to fly.
